Physical Education

Physical Education Department Goal:

"The goal of the Santiago Physical Education Department is to make physical education enjoyable as well as instructive. We consider the individual needs, feelings, and interests of the students when designing and implementing our curriculum. Our classes are in compliance with Title IX.

Physical Education Curriculum

7th Grade: Focus on individual skills, learning how to work together as a team, differentiation, develop good sportsmanship, and practice effective communication

7th Grade Units Include:

  • Basic Skills (throwing, catching, hitting)
  • Project Adventure (working together to reach a common goal)

8th Grade: Engage in team sports. Applying everything learned in 7th grade curriculum to 8th grade.
