Charter Board Opportunity
Dear Incoming, Current and Alumni Santiago Parents,
Santiago Charter Middle School is seeking new Parent Representatives to serve on the Charter Board. To be eligible to serve as a representative, you must have a student currently attending or be the parent of a Santiago alumni.
Participation on the Charter Board is a critical component of the charter school process, and any parent interested in serving the students and community of Santiago Middle School are encouraged to apply.

The Charter Board adopts applicable Orange Unified School District Board Policies and their accompanyng Administrative Regulations from the 1000's, 3000's, 4000's, 5000's, 6000's, and 7000's series, as Policies and Regulations of Santiago Charter Middle School, with the exception that any of these Policies and/or Regulations which:
1. Conflict with the Santiago Charter;
2. Conflict with any Memorandum of Understanding between the District and the Charter;
3. Conflict with Charter Law;
4. Are specifically excluded by Charter Board action; or
5. Otherwise, do not apply to charter schools in general, or Santiago Charter Middle School in particular, as determined by the Charter School;
shall not be recognized as having been adopted by the Charter Board as Policies and Regulations of Santiago Charter Middle School.
Fiscal Impact: NA
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Santiago Charter Board approve the adoption.
