PALS stands for Positive Action Leadership Santiago and is a 7th/8th grade year long elective. PALS is a leadership class that focuses on helping students, our school, and the community. On campus, PALS club members assist new students coming to our school, students who might need help making friends, and help tutor students who may need help in their core classes.
PALS students also are involved in school activities such as Red Ribbon Week, All-Star Breakfast, STRIVE Assembly, and Back to School Night. Within our community, PALS club members assist local charities and complete required hours of community service. PALS club members must be recommended by a teacher or administrator to join, must maintain citizenship grades of O's and S's on report cards or progress reports, and must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA.
The PALS team throws a special breakfast once a trimester to celebrate both students and staff that show PRIDE and STRIVE qualities. (Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Determined, Engaged or Success, Teamwork, Responsibility, Integrity, Values, Effort.) Congratulations Santanas!
