Pre-AP Courses

At Santiago Charter Middle School, we are proud to offer Pre-AP courses designed to prepare students for the challenges of high school Advanced Placement (AP) and beyond. Our Pre-AP courses in English, Biology, and History provide a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, analytical skills, and deeper subject understanding. Pre-AP COURSE OFFERINGS

Pre-AP Biology

Pre-AP Biology encourages students to think like scientists. Through hands-on investigations, students explore fundamental biological concepts such as genetics, ecosystems, cellular processes, and evolution, all while strengthening their ability to analyze and interpret scientific data.

Pre-AP English

Pre-AP English focuses on building strong reading and writing skills through the analysis of complex texts. Students engage in close reading, evidence-based writing, and literary discussion to enhance their comprehension and expression.

Pre-AP History challenges students to think critically about historical events, analyze primary and secondary sources, and understand historical trends. The course emphasizes historical inquiry, evidence-based argumentation, and connections to the modern world.
