Good Afternoon Santanas,

We hope you all had a great weekend. We are honored to continue serving you and your family during this time of uncertainties. While different, our students continue to access and learn our rigorous middle school standards while we strive to support each whole child in this digital world. A few important points of business:

1) Starting Monday, May 18th, our office will be open from 9a-1p Monday through Thursday to accommodate the closing of the 2019-2020 school year, the start-up and registering of the 2020-2021 school year, and support any needs our families may have.

2) Please keep an eye out for communication re: Material Check-In. Students will be checking in books, chromebooks and school material the week of June 8. Each student will have a designated time and day by alpha to ensure we follow social distancing guidelines. The schedule for that week will be communicated to families in the next week.

3) SAVE THE DATE - Saturday, June 13th will be our unique and innovative Promotion Ceremony. We are excited to roll out details once we have everything finalized in the next few weeks but please know we are putting this together with the pure intention of celebrating the accomplishments of our Santanas and personalizing this experience for them, in a safe and healthy manner.

Thank you for your time and please email or call with any questions.

Hello Santanas,

I hope you are all doing well, staying safe, staying healthy, and staying home. Please know that our entire staff, faculty, and administration really miss our day-to-day personalized interactions with our students. Interacting with students is absolutely the best part of our day and the reason that most of us chose to be educators for our careers. Please know that YOU ARE MISSED!

This coming week, here is what we are doing to resume our remote learning now that Spring Break is over. We will be continuing with our Optional Virtual Office Hours AND adding in a Mandatory Advisory Session that students must log in to at designated time provided in the new schedule (See link below). Please have your students reference the Schedule for all the times and dates they need to present online this week. Questions and clarifications can be answered during the office hours or by emailing the teachers directly. Thank you for your continued flexibility as we engage in this remote learning environment.

Also, if you are in need of school counseling or school psychologist service, both Ms. Patel and Ms. Johnson will have daily office hours which you can access on the link below and speak to them via video chat.

Schedule is as follows on this link:

During the school closure, starting Monday, May 18th, our office will be open from 9:00 am-1:00 pm Monday through Thursday to accommodate the closing of the 2019-2020 school year, the start-up and registering of the 2020-2021 school year, and support any needs our families may have. Students can access the campus only if they need to pick up something (chromebook, PE clothes, etc.) or drop something off. We will be following strict physical distancing if you or your child have to come on campus and we will make time on campus as short as possible.

At some point in the next month or two, we will inform you of things like:

  1. End of year checkout requirements
  2. Options for making up events that celebrate students
  3. What options are available if your child missed critical content areas

Please know we are thinking about all of these things and will discuss as an administration and staff in the coming months under the presumption that things will be better by then.

Again, please take care of yourself and each other and know that we are thinking of you.

The entire Santiago staff and Faculty

Hola Santanas,
